# How can I ensure that information is only visible to intended recipients?

Direct messages are ideal for exchanging private information between two users, and cannot be read by someone else.

Pinboards, which are used for group communication, can only be set up and managed by administrators. Therefore, it is in the administrator's control to decide who gets access to which information.
