How do I use "Tasks" effectively?

Tasks are very popular to ensure that nothing is missed or forgotten. Whether in the office or on the road, tasks can be created quickly and assigned to others as needed.

Our tips:

  1. Use the 'Description' field to record any information that may be needed e.g. contact details, names, history, objectives or notes
  2. If you have different types of tasks, use abbreviations:
    1. Write these down at the beginning of the task name so that those responsible can immediately identify what the task is about
    2. By sorting the tasks alphabetically, you can see all the tasks sorted by type at a glance
    3. For example: M for medication, C for consultation, R for Rotas or S for scheduling, P for patients, C for clients or CL for council
  3. Attach images or files to the task e.g. images or PDFs, if additional information is needed
Common examples:
  1. Put keys for Mr Jones in the mailbox at his daughter's house
  2. Publish rotas for next month
  3. Distribute PPE to team
  4. Order food for Mrs Williams
  5. Cover for Katie's sickness!
  6. Pick up new medication for Mr Lambert
  7. Schedule visit with council nurse
  8. Call Mr Lewis' daughter and ask to remove carpet
  9. Share new shift plan with Sarah
  10. Finalise and share visitor guidelines
