Real-life tips: Working jointly on tasks

Use "@" to work with others on tasks. Here are a couple of examples:

In nooa, tasks are assigned to a responsible person to make sure that responsibility is clearly defined.

If others are involved or should be kept informed about the current status of a task, they can be mentioned using "@".

Find instructions on how to mention users and add collaborators here: Can I add multiple users to tasks?

In the following examples, add others to a task using "@" to save time and not miss anything:

Smooth handover or sick cover

  1. Susan is responsible for the rotas, so she owns the task "Create rotas for April". Danielle is her cover and helps by collecting information for the rotas from the carers. The care manager also mentions her in tasks, for example "@Danielle please support Susan and take over the task if needed."
    1. Danielle adds information directly in the task as a comment "@Susan for next month Liz won't be available on Fridays"
    2. Susan falls ill and is unable to complete the rotas. Danielle sees her tasks and can directly take over the urgent and important ones. She assigns these task to herself and lets Susan know: "@Susan, I have taken over and completed this task". She then checks off the task.

Inform staff, groups or teams and share tasks

  1. Frank has a task for the office team. He creates a task "Please order food for next week" and assigns it to Susan as team leader. In the description he adds "@Susan, @Danielle, @Liz please take care of this task."
    1. Danielle receives the notification about the task and takes over since she has some time right now, "@Frank I will take over this task. Thank you."
She assigns herself the task and completes it. Susan, Frank and Liz see that the task has been completed by Danielle.
  2. In the housing unit "West" the visitor's room has to be cleaned up. The supervisor creates a task for the team in the next shift: "Please clean up the visitor's room.
@Susan @Danielle @Liz please someone of you take over and do it".

More use-cases: Share information, ask for help, coordinate tasks

  1. Collaborators write a comment on the task.
  2. Users get help solving a problem by asking an experienced colleague for help using the @-feature.
  3. Medications or prescriptions are ready for pickup: Mention multiple users and one person takes over the task.
